About
Hello! I’m Ron Erdos, and I was in charge of SEO for Australia’s biggest news, TV, and lifestyle brands—including GQ, Vogue, news.com.au, The Sydney Morning Herald, and 7 News—for almost a decade.
My amazing colleagues and I took a one-city Australian news site (Brisbane Times) to the top—and I do mean the top—of the global SEO rankings when Michael Jackson died. In a single day, we garnered hundreds of thousands of SEO visits for the story and related breakouts. This was way, way above our average.
However, that wasn’t a one-off.
Over the years, at various publications, we dominated SEO traffic for the most famous Kardashian. And the other Kim over in North Korea. Not to mention Trump, Putin, and various Jenners.
We were the Department for Births, Deaths, and Marriages on Google, ready to ride the SEO wave every time someone broke the internet.
